Load Bearing is a conceptual portrait project that asks: “What does it mean to carry the burdens of our domestic lives?”. The project was formulated as a pitch for an open call from The Box in Plymouth, that was looking for photographic projects exploring the idea of home for an exhibition. Unfortunately this project was not selected. However, it was a project that I felt had some real meaning and was worth creating. I shot these images on Kodak Tri-X black and white film, with these 4 amazing models who absolutely got my vision and helped me create it.
